Biography

Daniela is an architectural designer and researcher based in NYC. She is a licensed architect in Peru, and holds a degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and a master’s in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University.

Daniela has ten years of experience working collaboratively in all stages of the development of architectural projects. She is passionate about architecture that is connected to culture, environment, and politics, and in design narratives that relate to people. In her research practice, she explores topics at the intersection of rural and urban contexts, politics, and popular culture. She is a founder member of the collective “Lima Húmeda”, which researches how the urban development of Lima has been and is influenced by water issues.

Daniela has been an Associate Professor at Columbia University and has participated in various public and private projects of cultural and educational scope in the United States and Latin America.
